Rubber Boot Care
 | |
• Rinse boots thoroughly after every use, mud left on the boots may cause dry rot & cracks
• Wash with mild soap and water if needed
• Allow the boots to dry thoroughly in a cool, dry place, preferably by hanging them on a boot rack or using a boot dryer
• Do not dry in direct sunlight
• Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may contribute to drying out and stiffening of materials
• Treat rubber boots regularly with a rubber conditioner
• For waders, turn inside out and hang to dry
• This will also help to prevent odor buildup

Mississippi National River and Recreation Area

 | | 18 Fun Outdoor Winter Activities for Kids & Adults! Every year, around this time, I start dreaming of warmer climates. Images of sunshine, bare feet, and tropical thunderstorms haunt my daydreams. And I know I’m not the only one.
I for one hate being shut inside with the windows closed, but I also don’t like being cold. So I’ll admit, it’s hard to drag myself out for fresh air and exercise. And here in Michigan (and other northern climates), winter lasts a very long time. So it’s important – for our health and sanity – to find some fun excuses to get outside.

Hunting in Wisconsin

Time spent honing shooting skills, readying equipment and scouting the land for game are enjoyable and can pay off when the season opens.
